Gala of the Senior Queen

Our senior citizens also have their place in the Carnival and that is why they elect their Queen among several candidates who, every year, represent different organizations, companies or seniors centres, not only from the capital city, but also from the rest of the island. The Senior Ensembles Festival is held at the Gala to elect the Senior Queen, where about ten enthusiastic musical ensembles, made up of elders who rehearsal all year round, delight the audience from this Carnival stage the day their Queen is elected. The election of the Senior Queen has been held since 1984.
