The Councillor for Fiestas, Javier Caraballero, is attending the International Tourism Fair to present the upcoming edition of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival, which will kick off on January 31 with the opening gala.

The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization of Fiestas and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), has brought the Carnival of Santa Cruz to Madrid, starring in the opening and closing of one of the country’s most international events: Wanderlust. Councillor Javier Caraballero, along with the Carnival Queen of 2024, Corina Mrazek, her court of honor, the Bahía Bahitiare comparsa, and Maquinaria Band, attended this internationally renowned promotional event.

Wanderlust is an annual gathering of tourism professionals in central Madrid, featuring music, performances, and gastronomy. It is held every year since 2017, coinciding with FITUR. This promotional event chose the Carnival of Santa Cruz as the undisputed star of the evening, highlighting this International Tourist Interest Festival for its true value.

For Caraballero, being present at this event means “taking another step in the internationalization and promotion of our festival, showcasing its charms and the traditions that make us unique, along with the protagonists of the Carnival.” He added that he was pleasantly surprised by “the great admiration beyond our borders for our carnival and the immense expectation it generates.”

This morning, the Carnival Queen 2024, along with her court of honor, accompanied the Councillor for Fiestas to the Canary Islands stand, where they will be present all day promoting the Carnival and handing out flyers with the program for the 2025 edition, which begins on January 31 with the opening gala.
