Individuals and groups interested in participating in any of the modalities may register through the Electronic Headquarters until February 10.
The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization of Festivities and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), has opened registration for the adult and children’s costume contest of Carnival 2025, dedicated to “The Secrets of Africa”, to be held on February 23 at 11:00 am at the Fairgrounds. This year, the registration period will be open from today until February 10. Any person or group wishing to participate in this contest must submit their registration along with the required documentation through the City Council’s Electronic Office.
The order of exit to the stage is established by rigorous order of entry registration and the prizes range from 90 euros for the third individual prize for children, to 720 euros for the first prize for groups of more than 12 participants in the adult category.
For the mayor of the city, Jose Manuel Bermudez “this is one of the contests that keeps more essence of our carnival, which was born in the street and in the costumes, and still maintains the same spirit”. For the Councilman of Festivities, Javier Caraballero “this format gives us the opportunity to value and give greater relevance to the work that so many people carry out in their homes with the sole purpose of enhancing our streets every February and make our carnival more spectacular”.
