The contest of adult Carnival Murgas will arrive tomorrow, Wednesday 12, to the third and last phase of preliminary, at the end of which will be known, in addition, the eight formations that go to the final next Friday.

Seven groups will take to the main stage of the Recinto Ferial, starting at 8:30 pm. Ni Pico Ni Corto will open the fire and will give way, in this order, to Chinchosos, Guachinquietas, Tras con Tras, Bambones, La Sonora and Sofocadas. Before, Mamelones will perform, first prize for Interpretation in the contest of children’s Murgas this year.

The Interpretation jury is made up of Andrés Fulgencio Estévez, musician, composer and former member of renowned Tenerife orchestras, as well as member of the SGAE; Manoly Triviño, teacher and director of children’s choirs in Santa Cruz; Rocío González, music teacher and percussionist; Marlene Meneses, journalist, announcer and presenter of carnival events; Ivo López, announcer of CD Tenerife and presenter of sporting events; Sergio Branic, musician, composer, artist manager and member of the Latin Grammy’s Academy; Jéssika Rojano, humorist and percussionist; Ivo López, announcer for CD Tenerife and presenter of sporting events; Sergio Branic, musician, composer, artist manager and member of the Latin Grammy’s Academy; Jéssika Rojano, humorist; José Antonio González “El Flaco”, of the murga Los Singuangos and rondalla Peña del Lunes; and Mike Mosegué, music producer and show creator.

The Presentation jury is made up of Patricia Hodgson, a Fine Arts graduate and teacher, with extensive experience in these events, accompanied by Claudia Rebeca Skog, also a Fine Arts graduate, visual artist and finalist in the Carnival 2024 poster contest, and Laura Sánchez, a professional costume designer in film and entertainment, with experience as a pattern maker and dressmaker.

The presentation of the three phases will be in charge of Daniel Álvarez and Emilia González, and Manoj Daswani, on social networks. Televisión Canaria will broadcast live all the phases and, of course, the grand finale of the Carnival 2025 Murgas Contest, scheduled for Friday 14, at 8:30 pm. The eight murgas with the best scores by the jury in the previous phases will compete in the Interpretation section.
